Frenkie de Jong continues to enhance his legacy at FC Barcelona. With the match against Celta at Spotify Camp Nou, the Dutch midfielder reached 293 official appearances in the blaugrana jersey, becoming the Dutch player with the most appearances in club history, surpassing the 292 of Phillip Cocu, who presented his countryman with a commemorative shirt on Wednesday.
De Jong and Cocu are followed in the ranking by Ronald Koeman (264), Patrick Kluivert (257), Michael Reiziger (252) and Frank de Boer (214).
Second for titles
De Jong is also currently the second most decorated Dutch player in Barça history, with a total of seven titles: two leagues, two domestic cups and three Spanish Super Cups. Only Koeman has more, with 10 trophies.

To mark the occasion, Frenkie de Jong will answer questions from fans live this Thursday on the FC Barcelona YouTube channel.
Members of the club’s digital community will be able to submit their questions via the chat, and the Dutch midfielder will respond from 12.30pm CET.
