Session with the internationals
Following a rest day on Wednesday, the FC Barcelona squad were back at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Thursday for a workout on the Tito Vilanova field for a session that featured all of the internationals who have been away representing their countries, with the sole exception of Raphinha, who was in Florida yesterday for Brazil's game with Croatia.
The first teamers were also joined by Kochen, Espart, Tommy and Álvaro Cortés of the reserves.
Hansi Flick will be finalising his preparations for Sunday's game with Atlético Madrid on Friday morning, and will be giving a press conference at around 1pm CET.
The trilogy begins
Victory over Atlético would consolidate Barça's strong position at the top of the league, and would also be a huge boost for morale ahead of two meetings with the same side in the Champions League. The red-and-whites are the team that eliminated the Catalans from the Copa del Rey, sufficient warning of what a huge challenge awaits.
