15 out of 15 at home in La Liga
There's no place like home. And that's certainly true for FC Barcelona this season. The return to Spotify Camp Nou has gone better than anyone could have possibly hoped, with the team utterly invincible when playing in their beloved stadium.
The 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday was a very close call, but Ronald Araujo's header and Joan Garcia's saves got the job done, and that makes it 15 wins from 15 games in home league fixtures this season. Curiously, that's happened at three different venues. The games with Valencia and Getafe were both played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, and the three versus Real Sociedad, Girona and Elche were at the Estadi Olímpic. Then came ten at Spotify Camp Nou, where Barça have yet to drop a single point.
Athletic Club, Alavés, Atlético Madrid, Osasuna, Oviedo, Mallorca, Levante, Villarreal, Sevilla and Rayo have all been coolly dispatched. There are just four more games to win, against Espanyol, Celta, Real Madrid and Betis to complete a full set of 19 wins in 19 home games.
It wouldn't be the first time a team has gone a whole Liga season without conceding a single point at home, but it would be the first time that the feat has been achieved since the division was increased to 20 teams.
