On the occasion of this Sunday’s 2pm kick-off against Rayo Vallecano, FC Barcelona and Nike are re-releasing the club’s iconic 2005/06 home jersey. That season, the club won its second UEFA Champions League after defeating England’s Arsenal 2–1, as well as adding an 18th La Liga title in its trophy cabinet. The squad featured many standout names, and most especially Ronaldinho.

Still remembered from that campaign is the 3-0 win away to Real Madrid, with two goals from the Brazilian at the home of their biggest rivals, a performance so extraordinary that much of the Madrid crowd applauded both the player and the team. That same year, Ronaldinho won the 2005 Ballon d’Or ahead of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, cementing his status as a global football icon.

Barça and global icon

The release of this iconic Barça jersey pays tribute to a truly unique player whose style of football captivated the world 20 years ago. Ronaldinho changed the way the game was played and helped shape modern football through his trademark smile and exceptional skill on the pitch.

Fans looking to purchase the jersey can do so via the club’s online store, at the Barça Store at Spotify Camp Nou, and on Nike’s SNKRS app starting Sunday, with availability expanding to the rest of the club’s retail network and Nike stores from Monday onward.

Nostalgic top

The design brings back the classic Nike Total 90 aesthetic, featuring the traditional blaugrana stripes, period logos such as TV3 and LaLiga, and yellow detailing that defined early-2000s football style. The retro look stays true to the essence of the original model, making it a perfect piece for both Barça fans and vintage jersey enthusiasts.

This jersey combines nostalgia, history, and football style in a unique piece. Ideal for collectors, Barça supporters, and fans of the classic game who want to relive one of the club’s most spectacular eras.
