A new scoring record for Lamine Yamal. The Barça star became, this Tuesday in the 7–2 win over Newcastle, the highest scorer in Champions League history under the age of 19, with a total of 10 goals in the competition.

Equal to Mbappé

Lamine Yamal’s ten goals in Europe’s top competition see him draw level with Mbappé in this particular ranking. The Frenchman reached double figures at 18 years and 350 days, while playing for PSG, with a goal against Bayern Munich that was not enough to prevent defeat.

Now the Barça number 10 has become the youngest scorer at this level, reaching the mark at just 18 years and 245 days. A penalty converted in the rout against the English side, making it 3–2, secured the record.

Another milestone for the prodigy, who continues to make history and could still extend his tally this season, as he will not turn 19 until July and FC Barcelona are through to the quarter-finals.
