A Champions League win for Barça over Igualada at the Palau Blaugrana (4-1) to keep the three points coming. The match was decided in the second half after an even first half. The blaugranes came out strongly after the break with goals by Marc Grau, Sergi Llorca and Eloi Cervera, and the win sees them remain in second, two points behind Porto, with two games of the regular phase to go.

All square at the break

Barça went ahead after a good start saw Eloi Cervera hit the post (min 5), with Àlex Ortigosa also having a good chance (min 11). However, it was a long shot by Pablo Álvarez that saw the blaugrana dominance convert into something tangible on the scoreboard (1-0, min 13). He had another chance to extend the lead a minute later, but Arnau Martínez saved.

Ferran Font and Marc Grau later had couple of clear chances (min 16), but all the same, Igualada managed to equalise through Miguel Cañadillas (1-1, min 23) before the break.

Blaugrana reaction and triumph

After hitting the post again just before halftime, the home side came out firing and Marc Grau put Barça ahead again with a first time shot from an Alabart assist (2-1, min 26).

Barça could now open the gap, and they did so with a goal by Sergi Llorca after a deflection from a defender (3-1, min 37). Still more to come though, as Eloi Cervera took on the mantle to score himself, with what proved to be the final goal at the Palau (4-1, min 47).

This was a good win for Barça at the Palau against a competitive Igualada side and it meant another three points in front of the home fans in the Champions League.
