Gameweek 24 of LaLiga will come to a close when FC Barcelona play Girona at the Montilivi stadium on Monday. As usual before every game, the blaugrana coach Hansi Flick sat down with the press to analyse the Catalan derby.

"Girona are a well-organised team, brave, who play out from the back well. We will have to be very intense" explained the German coach a little over 24 hours before kick-off. In addition to being a chance to return to the top of the table, it will be a good game to put the tough loss to Atlético Madrid in the Copa del Rey behind them. What's more, the team are ready and the coach is aware of the importance of the derby, as he continued "We lost on Thursday and it was a lesson, but life goes on. You have to accept the defeat and have confidence. We have a lot of quality to get over it”.

“You can lose, but how you react is important. And I want to see the reaction tomorrow”, added Flick, making it quite clear that the team have the mindset to respond at the Montilivi stadium.

When asked about player availability, the coach explained that “even though he is much better, Rashford won't be available, but Raphinha can play”. “Raphinha is a very important player for us, it's not the first time I have said that. We have missed him in the games he hasn't been with us because he raises the level of play and the intensity" concluded Flick, highlighting the Brazilian's importance to the performance of the team.
