Another win for Xavi Pascual's side in the Euroleague as they overcame ASVEL Villeurbanne 98-91 in France thanks to a solid performance, especially in the second half, and the contributions of Kevin Punter (31 points) and Shengelia (22 points). 

Early parity 

Barça started against ASVEL in intense fashion but it was the home side who dominated the opening minutes. Nevertheless, Satoransky and Punter helped reduce the difference between the two side as the half went on. Laprovittola provided the assists and Punter the points as Xavi Pascual's team went in at the break just two points down at 49-47. 

In the second half Barça found their stride and improved across the board. Shengelia provided valuable points as the blaugranes took the lead at the end of the third quarter at 74-70 ahead. In the final quarter the blaugranes underlined their superiority despite a late surge from ASVEL to take a 98-91 win. 

Record for Shengelia

Aside from the solid team performance, Georgian forward Shengelia reached another landmark when he reached 3,773 points in the Euroleague to move into the top 10 of all time in the competition. In addition, Shengelia ranks fifth all-time in two-point shots made with 1.137. Ante Tomic is in sixth place with the same number of two-point shots and Jan Vesely is the all-time leader with 1.640 two-point shots made.
