Another one! FC Barcelona have lifted the Spanish Super Cup once again after beating Real Madrid, securing the sixth trophy in the competition’s seven-year history. Congratulations!
Another Super Cup
The blaugrana are the undisputed queens of the competition. Since its creation in the 2019/20 season, Barça have won six of the seven editions contested. Their biggest win came against Real Sociedad in 2020, with a resounding 10–1 scoreline.
First title of 2026
With this victory, Barça open their trophy cabinet for 2026, a year in which the ambition to win the league, the cup and the Champions League is stronger than ever. In the league, they remain on a roll, having lost just one match all season, with every other game ending in victory. In the cup, they will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. In the Champions League, Pere Romeu’s side finished top of the league phase, securing direct qualification for the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier competition.
