Barça Atlètic suffered a heavy 4–1 defeat away to Reus FC Reddis, conceding early and late to leave with an overly harsh scoreline from one of the toughest grounds in the group.
The hosts struck almost immediately. In their first attack, Ustrell robbed Cortés of possession and squared for Kenneth, who beat Emilio to make it 1–0 inside five minutes. From then on, Barça Atlètic were forced to chase the game and struggled to find space against a well-organised Reus side. Dani Rodríguez was the main attacking outlet, and Toni went close from distance, but the clearest chance of the half did not arrive until late on.
The restart brought more frustration. Just three minutes into the second half, Miquel Ustrell doubled the home side's lead with a header from a corner. However, the visitors responded quickly. Shane Kluivert pulled one back in controversial fashion, finishing after the assistant flagged for offside, with the referee ruling that the final touch had come from a Reus defender.
From bad to worse
That goal briefly revived hopes, but Barça Atlètic were unable to build momentum. After Mbacke missed a promising volley, the same player was penalised for handball moments later, and Ricardo Vaz converted the resulting penalty to make it 3–1. Any remaining resistance ended with Roger’s dismissal, and Pol Fernández added a fourth in stoppage time to seal the result.
Tempers flared on the benches in the closing moments, with one red card apiece, bringing a disappointing afternoon for Barça Atlètic to a close at the Nou Estadi de Reus.
