The Barça futsal team made it a very happy new year when they defeated Inter Movistar 5-2 in the Palau Blaugrana in the team's first fixture of 2026. The visitors took the lead but braces from Pito and Adolfo and a goal from Martel made sure of victory for Javi Rodríguez's team. 

On top but behind 

Barça started well with clear chances early on but it was Inter Movistar who took the lead. Gauna lost the ball and Mínguez fed Chaguinha for the latter to make it 1-0 to the visitors. Barça kept their heads and despite misses from Adolfo and Martel, the blaugranes were level on 9 minutes when Adolfo made up for his earlier failure to make it 1-1.

Keeper Dídac came up with a great assist to allow Pito to make it 2-1 on 12 minutes to put Barça in front. Chances came for both sides with both keepers, Dídac and Jesús Herrero making good stops. The game was still in the balance at the start of the second half with Inter pressing for an equaliser. The game changed when Pito made it 3-1 on 31 minutes with Adolfo adding another 60 seconds later to make it 4-1. Former blaugrana Harrison made it 4-2 to get Inter back into the contest but Martel's strike minutes before the end secured the win for Barça and a first victory of 2026.
