On Tuesday 2 March, Barça Legends are set to play a game against Real Madrid Leyendas in Guadalajara, Mexico. The match will be played at Estadio Akron, home to Chivas de Guadalajara, with a capacity of 49,850. This will be the fourth game against the all-whites after the previously announced fixtures in San José in Costa Rica (7 February), Los Angeles (22 February) and in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic (14 March). The only match the side have played against each other so far this season saw the blaugranes with 0-2 in San Salvador (El Salvador), with Javier Saviola scoring a brace. This match can be watched live on the YouTube Premium channel.

On this occasion, blaugrana coach Albert Chapi Ferrer already knows he can count on four players who made history with the Catalan club. These are Rafa Márquez, a Mexico legend, plus Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernández and David Villa, who was the star man in the last Barça Legends game, scoring a hat-trick against Tigres Leyendas in Monterrey (Mexico).

Who are the Barça Legends?

The Barça Legends is a programme created in 2016, managed directly by the club, which aims to integrate former Barça players through a stable project of professional collaboration with the club. It contributes to the global promotion of the Barça brand by sharing the club’s values through its former stars. Since the launch of the Barça Legends, more than 80 players have taken part in at least one match with the team around the world.
