Important win for FC Barcelona as they took a 71-66 win at the Bilbao Arena against Surne Bilbao Basket to round off 2025 in the league in style. Hernangómez and Satoransky were the inspiration for the win, the sixth in a row in the league for Xavi Pascual as coach and one that lifts the blaugranes to fifth in the table.

The blaugranes did not get off to the best start in the Bilbao Arena. The home side eased into a 5-0 lead early on despite the effort of Satoransky to bring it back to 13-8, Bilbao Basket ended the first quarter with a 25-16 advantage over the blaugranes.

The second quarter saw Barça score 11 unanswered points to bring themselves right back into the contest and take a 31-29 lead on 16 minutes. The home side fought back but the blaugranes retained a 34-33 lead at half time.

On defense Barça remained tight in third quarter and Hernangómez kept the scoring going as Xavi Pascual's team kept a 49-46 lead going into the final period. In the fourth quarter Barça went seven points ahead at 53-46 only for Bilbao to come within three points at 68-65 with a little less than 30 seconds remaining. The blaugranes held on for an important win to close out their 2025 in the league.

Xavi Pascual's team have one more fixture this year and that comes on 30 December at home to AS Monaco in the Euroleague.
