Goodbye 2025. A year full of emotions, big matches, goals, joy and silverware: the treble of Super Cup, LaLiga and Copa del Rey, plus a run to the Champions League semi-finals. But now it’s time to turn the page. 2026 is here, and let's take a look at what the future has in store:

7 January

FC Barcelona will fly to Saudi Arabia to compete in the Spanish Super Cup, the first trophy up for grabs in the 2025/26 season. On Wednesday 7 January, at 8.00pm CET, Hansi Flick’s side will face Athletic Club in the semi-final in Jeddah. If they progress, the final will be played that same Sunday 11 January, against the winner of Atlético Madrid v Real Madrid.

11/12 April

Derby day at the Spotify Camp Nou. Barça will host Espanyol on matchday 31 of the league, as the season enters its decisive stretch.

25 April (date to be confirmed)

The Copa del Rey Final will once again be played at La Cartuja, Seville. A venue full of happy memories for Barça fans, as last season the team lifted the trophy there against Real Madrid thanks to a Jules Koundé goal in extra time. In 2026, the final is scheduled for Saturday 25 April, but due to its clash with the famous April Fair in Seville, the date could still change. Hopefully Barça will be one of the two teams involved.

9/10 May

Two weeks later comes matchday 35 of the league, which promises to be a high-voltage affair. Real Madrid will visit the Spotify Camp Nou with just three games remaining. Will the title be on the line? There's still a lot of football to be played and plenty of time to see how both teams' seasons unfold, but in any case, a Clásico is always a Clásico, and a blockbuster is expected.

23/24 May

The league season comes to an end with FC Barcelona’s visit to Mestalla, against a Valencia side that is always a tricky opponent. After 38 matchdays, this will mark the end of the 2025/26 domestic campaign.

30 May

The 2025/26 season ends with the Champions League final. After months of drama and excitement, it's down to the last two teams. Barça hope to be there, though it won’t be easy with such a congested calendar. The final will be played in Budapest, Hungary, at the Puskás Aréna, which holds 67,000 spectators. The big novelty this year is that kick-off will be at 6 pm CET.

11 June

With the club season over, it’s time for international football. This is a World Cup year, with the tournament being hosted by three countries: Canada, the United States and Mexico. It all starts on 11 June with Mexico vs South Africa in Mexico City.

The World Cup Final is on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, a venue that holds 82,500 spectators.
