The Barça basketball team set up their 85-69 victory in Paris thanks to a magical first half performance. Great performances from Punter, Clyburn and Brizuela helped Xavi Pascual's team to seventh straight win that puts them into third place in the Euroleague table.

Attacking display

The game began with both sides exchanging baskets but soon the blaugranes began to pull away with Punter firing in two three pointers in the opening minutes. On defense the team was also plugged in and when Brizuela shot four from four and Clyburn also contributed valuable points, the blaugranes found themselves 30-13 ahead at the end of the first quarter.

Paris came out at the beginning of the second quarter, determined to fight back and they outscored the blaugranes early in the period. However, Satoransky began to direct the traffic for Barça and Clyburn's 9/10 from the field saw Barça extend their lead to 52-29 at half time.

The French side shot the opening seven points of the half to stage a mini comeback in the third quarter. Nevertheless, the blaugranes great advantage from the first half saw them still lead 68-52 going into the final quarter.

7 in a row

Xavi Pascual's team kept a lid on the scoring in the final quarter to guide themselves to victory. Excellent rebounding helped the blaugranes to remain tight on defense and an 85-69 win gave them their seventh win in a row in all competitions. Barça now have a 11 and 5 record in the Euroleague and are next in action on Friday in the Palau in Europe against Baskonia.
