October was intense, and November will be no different for Hansi Flick and his men, when there will hopefully be happier times after the month just ended produced some nasty defeats and a spate of injuries that have put a dent in the campaign. But there's a lot of football still to be played...
Elche, Bruges and Celta for starters
The first challenge comes this weekend with a game at home to Elche on Sunday at 6.30pm CET. It's a chance to keep up the pressure on Real Madrid, who moved five points clear thanks to their Clásico win, but the visitors to the Estadi Olimpic are in five form and are currently sitting in the top half of the table. Not as easy as it might look.
On Wednesday, Barça are in Belgium to face Bruges at 9pm CET in the Champions League. And there will be very little time to recover before a game away to Celta on November 9, a fixture that has caused the Catalans all kinds of trouble in recent years.
Three toughies
Between November 9 and 17 there's the final international break of the year, with some crunch games for some of the players are their countries look to secure places at next summer's World Cup.
Club football resumes on Saturday 22 with one of the most famous match-ups, Barça v Athletic Club. That one is at home, to be followed on Tuesday 25 by the latest episode of a far more modern rivalry... a visit to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in the Champions League (kick off at 9pm CET).
The month's football concludes on Saturday 29 (4.15pm CET) with the visit of Alavés
