FC Barcelona will face Girona this Saturday (4:15pm) in the ninth day of league fixtures. The venue is the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. As has been repeatedly reminded recently, the club recommends following a series of guidelines.

In order to cover the different movements on Montjuïc and all mobility needs, FC Barcelona, together with Barcelona City Council and the Guardia Urbana, is continuing with the agreed mobility plan to facilitate travel to the Estadi Olímpic. The measures aim to ensure smooth access to and exit from both Montjuïc and the stadium.

From 1:15pm, access by private vehicle will be restricted in most of the Montjuïc area. Vehicles will not be allowed to circulate in the areas closest to the Estadi Olímpic, and accreditation will be required to access the area around the Olympic Ring.

Prioritise public transport, especially the funicular, or travel on foot

Among the usual recommendations is also to set off in advance. In terms of public transport, special mention should be made of the Montjuïc funicular, as well as the metro and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) train services to reach the area around the stadium: Espanya (L1, L3, L8 and other FGC lines); Poble Sec (L3); Paral·lel (L2, L3); Foc (L10 Sud); and Magòria–La Campana (L8 and other FGC lines).

You can also opt for TMB buses that go to Plaça Espanya (D20, D40, H12, H16, V7, 13, 23, 46, 52, 65, 79, 91, 109, 150 and 165) and Passeig de la Zona Franca (H16, V3, V5, 23, 109 and 125). You can also access the Olympic Ring by taxi, with Carrer del Foc the preferred route.

Between 13 October and 12 November the four new escalators located between Passeig Forestier and the car park next to the MNAC will be dismantled and re-installed.

The ramp will remain closed on days when large-scale events are held in the Montjuïc area. During this period, alternative, clearly signposted routes will be available, with stewards on hand to guide and facilitate mobility.

As for motorbikes, up to 3,500 will be able to park in areas close to the stadium. Even so, motor traffic will be cut off on Avinguda Maria Cristina. If there is no alternative to accessing the area by car, the Fira Gran Via car park in L’Hospitalet can be used, with prepayment and reduced rates.

Shuttle service available

As for shuttle buses, there will be a stop on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina. People who wish to use them and park at the Fira Gran Via car park in L’Hospitalet will have shuttle buses to access the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys via Carrer del Foc. Both services are free.

The club also provides a series of guidelines on accessibility for people with disabilities, reduced mobility or wheelchair users, as well as for their companions. All the practical information for planning a visit to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on match days can be found here.
