A delegation from RACC (Reial Automóbil Club de Catalunya) led by its president, Josep Mateu, visited the FC Barcelona Documentation and Studies Center this Friday. The delegation was received by the board member responsible for the Barça Innovation Hub (Bihub), Àngel Riudalbas. This visit is part of the visits launched last season on the occasion of the celebration of FC Barcelona's 125th anniversary to members over 70 years of age, to offer them a unique opportunity to learn more about the entity's rich history.

The RACC delegation was able to see first-hand what the FC Barcelona historical archive is and how it works and discover different types of historical documents that are preserved and that narrate the Club's trajectory from its inception to the present. Among these documents are the issue of the magazine 'Los Deportes', from 1899, with the announcement of the founding of FC Barcelona; the number 1 membership card of Joan Gamper, the founder of the Club; the Stadium Book of Honor, which contains the signatures of the most important personalities who have visited the Spotify Camp Nou over the years; the albums of the tribute to Gamper from 1923; the score of the official Blaugrana anthem of 1910, the oldest anthem of a football club on the European continent; in addition to the acts of the Board of Directors, as well as different editions of the Statutes, Bulletins and the Entity's Diary throughout history.

As a curiosity, it is worth noting the link that has existed throughout history between FC Barcelona and the RACC, since the Club's president, Josep Sunyol, was also a member of the automobile services entity and the directors Magí Matheu, Francisco Quintana, Rossend Peitx and Sixto Quintana held positions in both entities, in addition to the manager of Blauer Amat Casajuana, who was a member of the RACC.

Starting next week, the Club's Documentation and Studies Center will once again offer guided tours to members over 70 years of age, which represent a true journey to the Blaugrana past and include an introduction to the history of FC Barcelona and a tour of the archive's facilities. The success achieved with these commented visits in the 2024/25 season has led to an extension of this 2025/26 season. According to the same FC Barcelona members who participated, the experience was very enriching and allowed them to connect with the Club's history and appreciate the legacy they have helped to build. Without a doubt, these sessions serve to strengthen the ties between the past and the present, celebrating the rich Blaugrana tradition and looking to the future with enthusiasm.
