FC Barcelona basketball continued their preseason with a win against Bàsquet Girona by 88-77 in the Platja d'Aro preseason tournament, a second victory following on from their win againbst Paris in Andorra earlier in the week.
The games started in frenetic fashion with Girona taking a 14-9 lead. Peñarroya's team fought back to end the first quarter 26-22 up.
Debut at 13
The story of the day came when in the second quarter, Burkina Faso prodigy Mohamed Dabone made his debut for the first team at the age of 13 years and 10 months, leaving signs of his undoubted quality and talent.
Girona once again took the lead at 37-34 but another stretch of unanswered points brought Barça back ahead at 49-41 at half time.
In the second half Barça showed their solidity in all areas taking a 71-61 lead with 10 minutes to go. In the final quarter the lead went up to 15 points with Satoransky, Joel Parra and Hernangómez making their first appearances of the season. The 88-77 win sets the team up nicely for their next game which comes in the Catalan League against Morabanc Andorra on 17 September.
