What an important win for the Barça futsal team at the Palau Blaugrana. Tino Pérez's side had to come back after not the best first half performance, but goals by Dyego, Eric Martel, Erick Mendonça and Sergio González (4-1) helped secure another three points, meaning they are now tied with Palma at the top of the league table but second on goal difference with two games of the regular season to go.

Noia nudge ahead

Barça dominated the game in terms of control and play from the off, but chances were few and far between. Noia gradually grew into the game, which culminated with a left foot shot by David Pazos ending up in the back of the net (0-1, min 10), which proved to be the only goal of the half.

The blaugranes were restricted by fouls – committing the fifth well before halftime – which stymied progress, especially as Noia were pressing effectively. All the same, the chances came, Antonio hitting the bottom of the post (min 16) while Dyego went close (min 17). Halftime 0-1.

Quick turnaround

The break came at the right time for the blaugranes, who came out more effective, personified by Dyego with his classic out to in move to score past the keeper (1-1, min 23). The turnaround was complete just a few seconds later, an Eric Martel long shot making it 2-1 (min 24).

An emboldened Barça continued the push and Erick Mendonça scored his first of the season under the visiting keeper (3-1, min 26). Sergio González also wanted his customary goal, which he duly got, finishing a Touré pass after a good move (4-1, min 28).

Not all the action was at that end though, as Dídac then saved a penalty from Pirata with 7.45 minutes to go, a potential turning point to quell any concerns about a Noia comeback. Barça tried to score more to up their goal difference because the league is that tight, but ultimately the three points were most important today.

Next up the penultimate league away to Peñíscola on 10 May (kickoff 8.00pm CEST).
