FC Barcelona announced on Friday that Xavi Hernández would not be continuing as coach for the 2024/25 season. As such, Sunday's game against Sevilla will be the last for the man from Terrassa in the job., 

Following the announcement, Xavi publicly thanked everyone on social media for the support he has received over the last two and a half seasons as coach. Furthermore, he added: "Above being coach, I am a Barça fan and I always want the best for my club. From Sunday, I will be just another culer in the stands".
