Alejandro Balde undergoes successful surgery on the tendon in his right hamstring
The first team player Alejandro Balde has undergone a successful surgical procedure on the injury to the tendon in his right hamstring. The procedure was carried out by Dr.Lasse Lempainen, under the supervision of the Club's medical staff, in Turku, Finland. The player is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return.
Balde was injured in the Copa del Rey tie at San Mamés against Athletic Club. He started the game but was replaced on 22 minutes by Héctor Fort. Tests showed that the full back Balde had an injury to the tendon in his right hamstring that required surgery.
This season Alejandro Blade has played a total of 28 games for Barça, 18 in the league, 6 in the Champions League and 2 in the Spanish Super Cup, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
