The Barça basketball team fell to a 94-71 away loss to Baskonia in a game that briefly looked promising in the third quarter. Laprovittola and Da Silva led the way in attack for the Catalans but couldn't mitigate the defeat.
Home side dominance
The Basques took control from the first quarter onwards despite Oscar Da Silva scoring 10 points in four minutes to keep the Catalans in touch. McIntyre was having a strong game, finishing a three pointer for a +10 lead, which was +8 by the end of the quarter.
The second quarter didn't go much better for Roger Grimau's side who only scored 11 points. Howard was doing the damage for Baskonia, who went +25 at one point, the Catalans managing to reduce it to +16 by halftime.
Barça kept plugging away
The blaugranes showed why they are second in the table in Europe in the third quarter, scoring 4-15 to bring the scores closer, thanks to Abrines and Laprovittola, the latter scoring 12 points in the quarter, with Barça ending up winning the quarter 15-24.
The comeback wasn't to be though, Howard and Moneke proving very effective for the Basque side, and their strong attack saw them run out 94-71 winners.
