Coach Xavi Hernández can call on two key midfielders for the visit of Diego Simeone's side to Spotify Camp Nou

High quality contest at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday with Barça taking on Atlético Madrid, kick off at 4.15pm CEST. Xavi Hernández's side have an 11 point advantage in the table over second placed Real Madrid with Atlético in third place some 13 points back after having won their last six matches in the league. 

Two back and a new face 

The visitors will be looking to overhaul their city rivals in second place in the table with Barça aiming to move a step closer to the league title in what is sure to be a clash between two of Europe's top clubs. 

For Barça's latest challenge, Xavi Hernández has named a 21 man squad with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong returning after injury. Another talking point is the presence of 15 year old Lamine Yamal, the youngster making his first ever appearance in the first team squad.

Final session at the Ciutat Esportiva

Before naming his squad, coach Xavi Hernández presided over the final session of the week at the Club's training complex with all the first team players taking part as well as Román Vega from Barça Atlètic and U19 squad members Pau Cubarsí, Pau Prim, Alejandro Ramos and Lamine Yamal.
