Gavi and Lewandowski also to show their respective Kopa and Gerd Müller trophies to the fans on Thursday before the LaLiga game kicks off at 9pm CEST

FC Barcelona was centre stage for some of the key moments of the gala held at the Théâtre du Châtelet on Monday in Paris, where last season's best players received awards from the magazine, France Football. Alexia Putellas won the Ballon d'Or for best women's player in 2022, becoming the first to retain the trophy. Gavi won the Kopa Trophy as the best player aged under 21 years old, and Robert Lewandowski won the inaugural Gerd Müller Trophy for scoring the most goals for club and country last season.

Tomorrow evening will see Alexia present her second Ballon d'Or to the fans at Estadí Johan Cruyff prior to the Champions League game against Benfica (9.00pm CEST). Once the pre-match warm up has ended and the players have left the pitch, the world's best player will walk out to show her award to the fans.

To further highlight the awards won in Paris, Alexia will join Gavi and Lewandowski in presenting their respective awards to the FC Barcelona fans prior to the Barça v Villarreal game, kickoff 9pm CEST at Spotify Camp Nou.

Gavi and Lewandowski will remain on the pitch in the Estadí after the warm up to show the Culers their respective Kopa and Gerd Müller trophies.

Alexia will then walk out onto the pitch with the Ballon d'Or to show it to the fans and share the milestone of becoming the first women's player to win the award two years in a row - a triumph for Barca's women's football too.

This will be the third time that Alexia presents an individual award at the Spotify Camp Nou, after the 'UEFA Women's Player of the Year' and ‘Best Midfielder in the 2020/21 Champions League', and her first Ballon d'Or for the 2020/21 season.
