Barça Women 2–0 UD Granadilla: Victory on debut

The blaugranes get off to a winning start in the league thanks to goals from Geyse and Graham Hansen

First game of the season and first win for the blaugranes. Jonathan Giráldez's team recorded a 2-0 win over Granadilla at the Estadi Johan Cruyff thanks to goals from Geyse Ferreira and Caroline Graham Hansen.

First half without joy

The opening 45 minutes saw Granadilla set out their stall and frustrate the blaugranes. The home side also lost Patri Guijarro after just 11 minutes of the game with a nasty head injury and she was replaced by Vicky López who at just 16 years and 19 days, became the youngest player to represent the team since it became professional in 2015.

Chances came and went but Barça were unable to find a way through and the sides went in at the break with the score goalless.

Geyse gets things going

The second half started with two great chances for the blaugranes. Rolfö hit the post with the first but Geyse made no mistake with the second to put Barça ahead just after the hour mark.

Norwegian Graham Hansen then scored a great effort on 68 minutes to swing the game in Barça's favour yet more. Barça Women closed out the game in the final minutes to record a first win of the league campaign in front of 4,477 fans at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
