FC Barcelona 37–33 BM Fraikin Granollers: Anniversay win
Saturday marked the 50th anniversary of handball in the Palau Blagrana and also brought a huge victory over second placed Fraikin Granollers to continue the perfect 2022 for a team that can’t stop winning.
The game was attended by some of the club’s biggest handball legends, including Víctor Tomás, Enric Masip and Raúl Enterríos.
A crowd of 3,296 watched a game in which Granollers made it very clear why their own season is going so well. The visitors went no fewer than six goals ahead, a very unfamiliar situation for the blaugrana in recent times, but by the break they had produced a remarkable comeback and were one goal up (18-17).
Carlos Ortega’s side continued their dominant handball after the break, with some truly delightful moments that were every bit worthy of such a special occasion, eventually putting their slow start well behind them and claiming a convincing victory.
