Barça 9-1 Eibar: Brilliant end to a brilliant season

The FC Barcelona women's team rounded off a historic season with another impressive victory. The 9-1 win over Eibar marked Mariona's 200th appearance for the club, Vicky Losada's final game as a blaugrana and Jennifer Hermoso confirming her position as the league's top scorer with another hat trick alongside four goals from Mariona and one each for Alexia and Laia Codina. 

Delight for the fans 

With 2,120 fans in the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Barça Women did not disappoint and laid siege to the Eibar goal right from the off. No less than six goals came in the first half alone. Jennifer Hermoso's opening half hat trick took her to 31 goals for the season and confirmed the striker as the pichichi of the Iberdrola league. A brace from Mariona and a goal from Alexia rounded off the scoring in the first half for the blaugranes with Arola getting a consolation effort for Eibar in added time. 

More of the same 

The fans added to the festive mood with Mariona making it 7-1 not long after the restart. Vicky Losada left the field in the 72nd minute to a standing ovation in her final game in a Barça shirt. 

Another strike for Mariona and a goal for Laia Codina rounded off the win, Barça Women's 33rd in 34 matches with 167 goals scored and just 15 conceded in the league. The perfect end for a perfect treble winning season.
