The 13th Barça Players Award already has the 6 names of the male and female players of the first football team of FC Barcelona who opt for recognition for their fair play. The award promoted by the association distinguishes the best sports and extra-sports behavior of the season, in this case 2020-21. The first phase of voting was open to all Barça fans from 27 May to 8 June. In this period more than 5,000 Culers chose the finalists. In the men's category they were: Messi with 39% of the vote, De Jong with 15% of the vote and Ter Stegen with 14% of the vote. And in the case of the female team the selected ones were: Martens with 20% of the votes, Alèxia with 16% of the votes and Aitana with 8% of the votes.
The next phase of the award will be in the hands of a jury made up of people linked to the Association, to the Club, to the sports institutions of Catalonia and the local media in which they will decide, on June 29, which player of the first team deserve the FC Barcelona Players Association Award. An award that takes as a reference the fair play of each footballer both on and off the field. Of the 6 finalists 3 have already won the distinction in previous editions: Alèxia, Messi and Ter Stegen.
