A victory for Barça Women in the Estadi Johan Cruyff after Granadilla Tenerife had taken the lead in their league game in Barcelona. Nevertheless, a brace from Jenni Hermoso and a goal from Alexia turned things around in the first half and then after the break a goal from Martens and two from Bruna made the final score 6-1 to the blaugranes.
Granadilla Tenerife take the lead
The blaugranes had the first chance of the game with Graham Hansen testing Tenerife keeper Aline. In the visitors' first attack of note they took the lead with Pisco scoring with just eight minute gone.
The lead, however, lasted barely five minutes with Jenni Hermoso levelling things up on 13 minutes. A great save from Sandra Paños prevented the away side from regaining the lead before Hermoso struck again to put Barça ahead. A penalty from Alexia just before the half hour mark made it 3-1 at half time.
In the second half Alexia's shot came back off the post and Martens reacted first to stretch the home side's lead on 71 minutes. Coach Cortés made changes and one of the players coming on had an almost immediate effect. Second half sub Bruna score twice in six minutes to seal a commanding win ahead of Sunday's trip to France to take on PSG in the first leg of their Champions League semi final.
