A brilliant first half gives their opponents no chance at all with Lluis Cortes' team cementing their place at the top of the table
Another week in the Iberdrola league and another win for Barça as they took a 9-0 victory over the unfortunate Deportivo La Coruña at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The game also saw Vicky Losada move into second place on the all time appearance list for Barça with her 361st game as a blaugrana.
The game was over by half time as the blaugranes went in 7-0 up at the break. Mapi Léon began the goalfest after just nine minutes. An own goal and two quick goals from Alexia extended the home side's lead. Just before the break Hermoso, an Iris own goaland Marta Torrejón all found the net to put the result beyond doubt.
In the second half with the game decided, Alexia grabbed a hat-trick on 56 minutes with a good header. Laia Codina made her comeback after five months out through injury and in injury time at the end of the second half Jennifer Hermoso rounded off the win with a ninth in front of just under 1,000 fans in the stadium.
