Francisco Trincão: 'I want to learn with Messi'

In a live chat with the FC Barcelona Youtube channel, the young Portuguese star admits 'I can't wait to wear the Barça shirt"

Francisco Trincão is now thinking about FC Barcelona ahead of his move to the blaugranes which comes into effect on 1 July 2020. The Portuguese player took part in a Live Call  with Barça’s official Youtube channel and answered a series of questions on the current lockdown and how he sees himself as a player, always with a smile on his face. Below are some of the highlights:

Lockdown in Portugal

“I am home with my parents and my sister”

“I want to encourage everyone to stay at home, everything will turn out fine”

Day to day

“I get up early, have breakfast and then train as before. In the afternoon I go on the play station, I watch television and in the evening I read. I try to follow the same routine as before”

Training

“I train with my parents but we do different exercises. I follow the plan given to me by Braga whilst my parents run or go on the static bike”

Barça and the future

“I am really looking forward to wearing the shirt of the best club in the world and sharing a dressing room with the best players in the world”

“I want to learn from Leo Messi, he is one of my heroes”

“I have spoken to Antoine Griezmann; he sent me a message: ‘vamos caralho!’ it said.

Trincão the player

“At Barça I hope to bring my skill, my left foot and my youth. I think the fans will enjoy it with me (laughs)”

“I work hard and I am strong mentally, I try to score and create and I like taking players on. Also, I always try to help the team”

Personal

“Apart from football, I like to play table tennis”

“I prefer documentaries to films. For example, I really liked the one about McGregor [UFC fighter, Conor McGregor], which shows his day to day life, what he does, what he thinks”

“A book; ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’. I loved it”

“Music: I like That's What I Like, Tu amiga, a song that also helps me learn Spanish”
