Piqué: 'Napoli play well against the big teams'

The Barça defender also stated at his press conference that 'we want to keep the good run going, it gives us confidence'

In his pre-match press conference prior to the Champions League game against Napoli, Gerard Piqué spoke about Barça's hosts: "Napoli have improved in recent games. Against the big teams they've played well and got good results; beating Juventus and Liverpool. They have some really good players like Insigne, Mertens and Milik, and we will have to be alert."

The centre-back also outlined his thoughts on the match in general. "We will play our game, have the ball, look to score and take a positive result away for the return game."

A decisive part of the season

After the Champions League game comes El Clásico against Real Madrid: “Having a good game against Napoli will help us to face El Clásico more calmly. It's an important week, and we want to keep the good run going, it gives us confidence."

San Paolo, Maradona territory

Piqué also described the area on the shores of Vesuvius: "Coming to such a historic stadium is always different. When you are a footballer you have to enjoy new experiences like this." It's a location where Diego Maradona remains a legend. "Maradona gave a lot to this sport. He will be remembered here forever. But I have worked closely with Messi, and I'll take his consistency and his daily  dose of magic."
