Barça B fell to defeat at the hands of Nàstic on Sunday afternoon, with the home side triumphing 1-0 in Tarragona through a goal from Pol Ballesteros. Whilst Barça B dominated possession and enjoyed clear chances, they were not able to find the net and fell to their fourth loss of the Segunda B campaign.
It was Barça B who enjoyed the first chance of the game, as Abel Ruiz received a through-ball and hit the post from a tight angle. He would go on to send in a cross, headed by Collado and saved miraculously by opposition stopper Bernabé. From the very next move, Carevic, playing his first game of the season, was called into a save by both Pol Ballesteros and Albarrán. Garcia Pimienta's side were enjoying both possession and chances, but were unable to make it count.
Nàstic probed again with a strike from Brugué that flew over the crossbar in the second half. Abel Ruiz continued to enjoy opportunities at the other end, but it was not to be his day. More fortunate was Pol Ballesteros, who headed a cross from the right. It came back off a Barça defender, and the Nastic player would turn it across the line.
Monchu, Saverio and Akieme shots were the closest Barça B came to an equaliser, but it wasn't to be for the visitors.
Barça B remain on 35 points at the end of Matchday 21. Their ext game takes place at the Estadi Johan Cruyff against Ejea next Saturday (7pm CET).
