Ernesto Valverde’s squad will have a week off before preparations for the derby against Espanyol kick off on 29 December
The first team squad head into the festive break with their homework done. After the 4-1 win against Alavés at Camp Nou on Saturday, Ernesto Valverde’s team have a week off before returning to training on Sunday 29 December to begin preparations for the Catalan derby against Espanyol on 4 January.

Thursday 2 January (5pm - Leo Messi, Luis Suárez, Neto and Arturo Vidal to return)
Friday 3 January the squad will carry out their final session and Ernesto Valverde will appear before the press ahead of Saturday’s fixture away at Espanyol.
5 January, open doors session
The Estadi Johan Cruyff will be the venue for the traditional open doors training session on Sunday 5 January at 11am.
