Robot Pol

Once again, this year there will be the possibility for a hospitalised child to watch the open training session through Robot Pol, a joint initiative between the Barça Foundation and the Abidal Foundation, with the collaboration of Awabot.

This initiative will allow children in hospital to enjoy a Barça experience to evoke positive emotions and help them to face everyday life. The child will guide the robot remotely through a computer, interacting with those around it and watching live images.

Last year, Alvaro, a 16 year old child in the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu oncology unit, was able to attend the open training session virtually through Robot Pol, accompanied by ’club technical secretary Éric Abidal, president of the foundation that bears his name.
