Ernesto Valverde has named a 19 man squad for the game in San Sebastián on Saturday
One of the most demanding weeks of the season is upon us. On Saturday Barça visit the Basque Country to take on Real Sociedad in the league before welcoming none other than Real Madrid to Camp Nou on Wednesday in the same competition. The week ends with the visit of Alavés also at home in the league, the last game before the winter break.
For the game in San Sebastián on Saturday, coach Ernesto Valverde has named the following 19 man squad:
Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Todibo, Suárez, Messi, Neto, Lenglet, Griezmann, Jordi Alba, Aleñá, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Vidal, Umtiti, C. Pérez and Ansu Fati. Wague and Junior are left out and Arthur and Dembélé are still missing due to injury.
Semedo and Jordi Alba return
On Friday the squad trained for the final time before travelling to San Sebastián. The available first team players plus Sergi Puig, C. Pérez and Ansu Fati from Barça B took part. Nélson Semedo and Jordi Alba once again also trained with the squad and after the session they were given the medical all clear to be included in the squad for Saturday’s game.
