Five FC Barcelona players are in contention to make the UEFA Team of the Year. They are Marc-André ter Stegen, Jordi Alba, Gerard Piqué, Frenkie de Jong and Lionel Messi, who appear among the 50 candidates that were made public by UEFA on Tuesday. Both Ter Stegen and Messi were in the Team of the Year last season.
