Svetislav Pesic to continue at Barça until 2021

Svetislav Pesic will continue as Barça basketball coach until 30 June, 2021. FC Barcelona and the coach have come to an agreement to extend the contract that linked him to the club until this summer. 

Winner

Pesic has been in charge at Barça for a total of 240 matches in the Endesa League and the Euroleague in the three and a half seasons he has been coach (2002-04, 2017/18 and 2018/19). His record is of 56 wins in 85 matches in European competition and 116 wins in 155 games in the ACB League. A figure of 172 victories in 240 games equalas a 72% win rate, an impressive percentage. 

Silverware guaranteed

Pesic has won a total of 7 trophies as Barça coach. In his first spell in charge between 2002 and 2004 he won everything; 2 ACB leagues (2003 and 2004), a Euroleague (2003) and a Copa del Rey (2003). In his second spell, beginning in February of 2018, Pesic has won two more Copas del Rey (2018 and 2019) and a Catalan League (2018).
