Leo Messi and his team-mates beat Qatar in the last game of the group stage and qualified in second place from their group
With a win over Qatar in their final group game, Argentina finished second and therefore qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa América. The national team, with Messi as a starter, achieved the qualification thanks also to Colombia's win over Paraguay. Goals from Lautaro Martínez and Sergio Aguero ensured Lionel Scaloni's side will be the ones to face Venezuela.
Messi joins Brazilian's Arthur and Coutinho in the knock-out stages, with Arturo Vidal and Luis Suárez set to face each other on Monday to close the group stage.
