The FC Barcelona ex-players and members of the Barça Players Association, Jordi Martínez and Xavi Moro, recently visited the city of Toronto (Canada) to lead the first international camp organised by ISL Futbol in Canada.
For the Association, the trip had various aims. First of all, the Barça ex-players, who are now coaches, had the chance to enjoy a space in which they could display their knowledge and experience. Second of all, the opportunity was taken to look at the possibility of organising another camp this summer. New alliances were certainly forged with organisations in Canada so that further opportunities can be created in the future for BPA members.
ISL Futbol, a company which collaborates with the BPA, focuses on sports management in the football industry. Thanks to its relationship with FCB Escola, the company organises camps all over the United States. In this case, however, ISL Futbol worked with Rush Canada Soccer Academy, to create a camp in Brampton, Ontario.
Thus, from the 13th to the 17th of March, boys and girls from 7 to 16 years of age were able to enjoy the training sessions led by Jordi Martínez and Xavi Moro. The coaches were on the pitch to ensure that the planned activities were carried out successfully.
At the end of the camp, a Barça shirt signed by Luis Suárez, Andrés Iniesta, Leo Messi, Neymar and Rafinha was up for grabs in a prize draw. Two children were also awarded a big prize: a trip to Barcelona to get to know the city and the Club. The two youngsters will join others who have been chosen from different camps all over the United States. They will all be part of the touring group that will soon set off for Barcelona.
The children will have the chance to train at the FCB Escola, experience the Club’s facilities and history through the Camp Nou Experience, watch a live match, and even meet some of the First Team players.
