Six years unbeaten at Camp Nou in the Champions League

With the 3-0 win against Liverpool in the first leg of the semi-finals, Barça tie the second-best home undefeated streak in the competition

In European competition, Barça are very strong at Camp Nou, a fact which they once again demonstrated on Wednesday night against Liverpool, thus completing a sixth consecutive season without having lost a Champions League game at home, a total of 32 matches. Real Madrid also went 32 Champions League matches without a home loss from 1975 to 1990. Bayern Munich hold the record of 43 straight from 1969 to 1991.

Interestingly, Barça’s last home defeat was a 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the return leg of the 2012/13 semifinals. Since then, 24 different teams have disputed 32 games at Camp Nou without being able to win.

In those games, Barça have outscored their opponents 9-15. Goalkeeper Marc André ter Stegen has been the team’s Champions League netminder for five of the six seasons, and has never given up more than one goal in any game at Camp Nou. Barça have picked up clean sheets in 17 of the 32 games.

Among the most memorable games during the streak are the 6-1 win over PSG in 2017, the 3-0 win over Bayern in 2015, the 4-0 win over Manchester City in 2016, and this season’s 5-1 win over Olympique Lyonnais and 3-0 win over Manchester United.
