Andressa Alves, first signing of 2016/17 for the FC Barcelona women’s team
The Brazilian international, who was at Montpellier last season, says “it is an honour to play for the best club in the world”
FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to sign Andressa Alves to the women’s team. The Brazilian striker passed a medical in her country, where she is currently preparing for the Olympic Games in Río de Janeiro in August.
The 23-year-old is the first new addition to the Barça women’s team for the 2016/17 season, having arrived at the club from Montpellier in France.
“It is a huge pleasure and joy to be able to say that I’ll be playing for FC Barcelona” she said. “It’s more than a club. I’m really looking forward to putting on the Barça shirt and it is an honour to be part of the best club in the world.“
