Leaders of Group B in the Machineseeker EHF Champions League. FC Barcelona dominated Magdeburg away (29–36), delivering a statement win against a rival that had troubled them in recent European seasons. Aleix Gómez scored seven goals to lead the Barça attack, while Blaz Janc was named MVP in a strong team performance.

The match began with intense defending and few goals, as neither side could gain more than a one-goal lead. Frade and Janc stood out for the Catalans, but the teams remained level through a tight opening period.

As the scoring pace increased, Barça pulled ahead thanks to the return of captain Dika Mem, back from a hamstring injury. His powerful shooting helped create a small advantage, extended to three goals midway through the first half. However, Magdeburg fought back and restored parity at 16–16 before halftime.

After the break, Barça repeatedly edged ahead by one or two goals, but the German side kept responding and equalised again at 24–24. The decisive moment came in the final ten minutes: with Makuc scoring and strong defending from Mem, Barça opened a three-goal gap that soon grew to five and then seven.

The 29–36 victory gives Barcelona top spot in Group B, taking the lead from Magdeburg. Barça will finish the group stage at the Palau Blaugrana on 11 March against HC Eurofarm Pelister.
