A sensational Barça performance. Carlos Ortega’s men delivered their best to sweep Orlen Wisła Płock aside with a dominant 24–34 win. Combining pace, rhythm and defensive solidity, the Catalans gave the Polish side (level with Barça in the EHF Champions League standings going into the game) no chance. The victory secures second place in Group B.

Aleix Gómez top-scored with eight goals, while Emil Nielsen was named MVP after another outstanding display in goal, making 13 saves.

Perfect first half

Nielsen set the tone early, helping Barça open up small leads that grew to 6–10 (min 16) through Barrufet, N’Guessan and Frade. The visitors maintained control, extending the gap to 9–16 before halftime thanks to collective defensive work and key saves from Nielsen and Hallgrímsson.

Barça keep up the pace

Dika Mem made it 9–17 right after the restart, and Barça never looked back. With goals from across the team and relentless intensity, the lead grew to 13–23 (min 40) and then 24–34 by the final whistle. A complete, confident performance from start to finish.

Next up, Barça travel to face BM Ciudad Real in the ASOBAL League on Sunday 26 October (12.30pm CET), looking to extend their winning run.
