Jure Dolenec will play for Limoges Handball

The Slovenian, who arrived in Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and had one year left on his contract, is committed to the French team for the next three seasons

Limoges Handball announced this Saturday that it will incorporate Barça's Jure Dolenec into its squad for the next three seasons. The Slovenian, who has defended the Barça shirt for four years, will return to the Lidl Starligue, where he played for Montpellier between 2013 and 2017.

Dolenec arrived in Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and signed a five-season contract, but has reached an agreement with the club to settle the final year and has committed to Limoges, where he will play alongside his Slovenian compatriots, Dragan Gajic and Igor Zabic.

As a Barça player, the captain of the Slovenian national team played 187 games and scored 491 goals. During the four seasons at the Palau, Dolenec has won four Asobal Leagues, three Super Globes, four Copas del Rey, three Asobal Cups, four Spanish Super Cups and four Catalan Super Cups, the Sacyr ASOBAL Cup and the Final4 of the EHF Champions League, which complete a provisional record of 22 titles.
