The Barça futsal team were unable to claim the league title on Tuesday after going down to a 5-4 defeat in game three of the play off final in the Palacio de Deportes de Murcia against ElPozo.

The final now goes into a fourth game in the best of five series on Thursday with kick off at 7.30pm CEST.  

ElPozo, ahead at the break

Barça got off to an excellent start in the game, scoring twice in the opening five minutes. Catela's strike in the fourth minute was only given after a VAR review concluded that the ball had crossed the line after striking the post. A minute later Adolofo added another thanks to a great assist from Sergio González.

ElPozo Murica reacted well to the setback and two goals in two minutes from Marcel and Rivera brought them level on 13 minutes. Before half time Dener put the home side ahead and Gadesa made it 4-2 to ElPozo just before the break. 

Efforts in vain 

In the second half Barça stepped up the rhythm of the game and two minutes in Fits made it 4-3 with a well taken goal at the far post. With just two minutes left Sergio González's equaliser seemed to be enough to send the game into overtime but ElPozo's Gadesa took advantage of a mistake at the back from Barça in the last minute to give the home side a 5-4 win and take the tie to a fourth game.
