Just five minutes was all it took for Barça to get the win away to Palma (1-5), Catela, Joao and Sergio got the early goals in a win that sees them now only two points off top spot in the league.

Fast start

Couldn't have begun better, as Catela, Joao Victor and Sergio González scored in quick succession after Touré made up for a miss with two assists for two goals in three minutes. The third came after a magical Sergio González chip and it was 0-3 after five minutes. It could have been more as the attacks kept coming from the visitors in a hot spell.

Miquel Feixas ensured Palma were kept at arm's length as the home side came into the game and a more defensive approach was adopted, partly to take a bit of a breather. The home side didn't manage to convert their dominance into a goal and it was still 0-3 at the break.

Victory confirmed

The second half was more stop-start and the chances were few and far between on both goals. However, nice Dídac footwork proved the starting point for the fourth blaugrana goal and Erick scored to quell a push by Palma.

With eight minutes to go, the islanders used five outfield players, but there was Pito to dowse the flarmes and make it 0-5 after quality play, as he powered to the goal and fired in a low shot. Palma received a red card towards the end of the match as it became tense on court. The home side managed to get a consolation through Lin to make the final score 1-5, but it was a great result at a normally tough place to go for the blaugranes.

The win means Javi Rodríguez's side are just two points behind ElPozo Murcia and now have it in their hands to finish first in the regular phase of the league.
