A great win for the FC Barcelona futsal team. Javi Rodríguez's side took a commanding win in the quarter finals of the Spanish Cup defeating Valdepeñas 7-1 to book a place in the semi-final against Palma, kick off 9.30pm CET on Saturday.

Valdepeñas, pretty much the local side in Granada where the tournament is taking place, started intensely against the blaugranes. However, after weathering the early pressure the blaugranes took control, Touré and then Antonio scoring in the space of five minutes to give Barça a 2-0 lead with just under a quarter of an hour gone.

Javi Rodríguez's team maintained the pressure and Antonio notched a second with João Víctor also getting on the scoresheet. The blaugranes pressed on and Eric Martel made it 5-0 after an assist from Antonio. Adolfo added another before Valdepeñas pulled one back, still hoping for a miracle.

Luciano Gauna's goal rounded off the win for Barça with their next challenge coming against Palma Futsal in the semi-finals.
