The FC Barcelona futsal team returned to action with a 7-2 win over Alzira at the Palau Blaugrana after a break of a month for international tournament. Javi Rodríguez's team return to the top of the league table on goal difference after defeat for ElPozo Murcia against Manzanares. The day was also a special one for the team as it saw Juanjo Catela back in action after 10 months out due to injury. 

Domination 

The game started with the blaugranes switched on from the start. Pito opened the scoring on just 3 minutes after an excellent pass from Matheus. The goalscorer then turned provider as he set Antonio to make it 2-0 after 10 minutes of the first half. A brace from Eric Martel in just two minutes allowed Barça to take a comfortable 4-0 lead into half time. 

Gauna and Sergio complete win 

In the second half another quick brace, this time from Luciano Gauna in the 23rd and 24th minute, put Barça out of sight at 6-0. Opponents Alzira briefly rallied with two goals of their own in two minutes but Sergio González's effort rounded off an excellent win for Javi Rodríguez's team on their return to official competition.
